Business Development Manager – Africa Position Description A successful business development manager assists with identifying, investigating, and evaluating new business opportunities. The selected candidate will be reporting to the top management. The designated territory covers Africa with primary concern focused on South Africa, Mauritius, Morocco, Tunisia, Seychelles, Ethiopia. We prefer a candidate with well-established social and professional networks with the key players in the international trading and healthcare industry in Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities The core duties and responsibilities will include but not limit to the following:
1. Identify and develop new business partners in Africa market.
2. Expected to achieve new opportunity goals, meet sales and revenue targets aligned with Company goals.
3. Help develop strong consultative relationships with key channel partners including distributors and agents, retailers and wholesalers, and related influencers to ensure the company is listed as a proprietary or preferred vendor.
4. Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals and marketing materials to clients.
5. Participate in strategic planning processes with the top management and help implement business plans and initiatives in coordination with other business functions.
6. Attend trade shows and industry conferences for educational and customer-oriented purposes.
7. Handle and follow up enquiries from customers. Skills, Knowledge and Personal Attributes
1. 3 years with strong B2B business development experience in the international trading and healthcare industry in Africa
2. Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning.
3. Must have strong presentation and negotiation skills, good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
4. Good written English and Chinese and excellent verbal communication skills
