鉴于南非近日不断有华人遇害身亡的案件发生，约翰内斯堡公共安全局前局长、市议员孙耀亨先生起草了一份致西里尔·拉马福萨总统的公开信，希望他能履行职责，督促警方加大执法力度，逮捕并严惩暴徒，保障所有热爱这个国家的人民安全。
孙耀亨议员对记者表示，公开信内容虽然并不完美，但却是我们南非华人的心声，也是当地百姓的疾苦。我们并不是要大家仇视当地政府，而是要当地政府正视和重视南非华人的安危，对南非的治安败坏立刻采取实际行动。
孙耀亨希望认同此公开信的侨团、侨领和同胞们踊跃参与联署，只需把信函打印出来签上您的大名，扫描后发回即可。大家一同为遇害的同胞讨回公道，共同发出广大华人华侨“热爱和平、反对暴力”的呼声。
公开信内容如下：
ANOPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT CYRIL RAMAPHOSA
致西里尔·拉马福萨总统的公开信
The year was 1998, the fourth year afterSouth Africa's liberation into a new era and the people were filled with hopefor a better future. It was a time of unity as the nation embraced our newdemocracy.
It was the same year the heart-broken Zhongfamily had to bury their two-year-old son after the family was brutallyattacked and their toddler killed by cold-blooded robbers.
犹记 1998 年，正是南非解放进入新时代的第四年。南非人民心中充满希望，憧憬着更加美好的未来。这本应该是一个团结一心的时代，一个拥抱崭新民主的时代。
而就在同一年，华人仲氏一家遭遇残忍袭击。他们正在蹒跚学步的儿子，被冷血的抢匪无情枪杀了。伤心欲绝的仲氏夫妇埋葬了他们两岁的儿子。
The Zhong family did not pack up and leaveSouth Africa. Instead, the husband and wife wiped away their tears andcontinued with life in South Africa, where their home and destination was, acountry they loved so much that they could not simply depart. They madesignificant contributions to society in honour of their beloved son. Manyfellow South Africans benefited from their humanitarian activities andcontributions.
仲氏夫妇并没有收拾行李离开南非。他们认定南非是他们生命中的第二故乡。一旦爱上这个国家，要离开又谈何容易。夫妻二人擦干眼泪继续生活。他们融入当地社区，以贡献社会的方式来纪念他们心爱的儿子。很多南非人受益于他们的善举和贡献。
Twenty-two years have since passed,although the tears are dry, the pain of losing their son would not beforgotten.
22 年过去了，眼泪虽然已干，但是仲家的丧子之痛永远不能忘记。
On 13 August 2020, Mr Zhiwei Tom Zhong andMrs Xuejie Linda Hua were brutally shot and killed like animals on VillageRoad, Johannesburg. The gunmen had robbed the couple of their belongings anddecided that Tom and Linda’s lives were not worth sparing. We may never knowthe torment Tom and Linda had to endure staring down the barrels of the thugs’guns.
2020 年 8 月 13 日，仲志维先生 (Tom) 和他的太太花学杰（Linda）女士再次遭遇不幸。他们在约翰内斯堡的 Village Road 遭遇抢劫。歹徒像射杀动物一样屠杀了他们。抢匪抢劫了这对夫妇的财产，并认为 Tom 和 Linda 的生命不值得他们怜惜。我们永远无法体会，仲氏夫妇在暴徒枪口下遭受了何等的痛苦！
The tragedy has shocked the Chinesecommunity, locally and internationally. We are still in disbelief and angeredthat such a kind and gentle couple can suffer this brutality.
仲氏家庭惨剧在华人圈引发强震，激起南非本地及国际华人的愤怒。我们至今依然不敢相信这对善良温柔的夫妇会遭遇如此残忍暴行。
You see, Mr President, while the worldcries Black Lives Matter and equality of life, at least 50 of your own people,regardless of colour or ethnicity are killed in South Africa every day but youand your government simply lack the determination to end this terrible scourge.
总统先生，如您所知，当全世界都在呼吁“黑人的命也是命”时，当全世界为生命公平而呐喊时,您南非的百姓，不管他们属于哪个肤色种族，每天有至少 50 人被杀。而您和您的政府却拿不出决心和意愿来结束这一可怕的人祸。
This is not fate, this is a man-made hell.Your citizens live in fear behind burglar bars. Our women and children arevictims. Businesses have to survive robberies and economic recessions. We hearvoices of tremble and of fear, our homes are no longer havens for the family.Amongst all this, crime and corruption thrive like a tumour crashing down onthis rainbow nation.
这绝不是命运，这是人为的炼狱——您的公民恐惧地生活在防盗栏后， 妇女和儿童成为罪犯的袭击目标，商家在抢劫和经济衰退的双重蹂躏下喘息。我们听见的声音，是战栗恐惧的声音，不是平安的声音。日惊夜忧，我们的住所不再是家人的避风港。犯罪和腐败就像是一颗侵蚀这个彩虹国度的毒瘤！
President Ramaphosa, we urge you to rememberthese names and read them out aloud the next time you give a publicremembrance. These are Chinese South Africans who were killed in heinous crimesin the recent years.
拉马福萨总统，我们强烈要求您记住这些近年来在令人发指罪行中丧生的南非华人姓名，并在将来举办公共纪念活动时大声朗读出他们的名字。

We ask for no more than for this belovedcountry and all those live in it to be safe and secure. We want you, MrPresident to take charge in apprehending those killers and thugs dominating ourbeautiful land and no mercy spared on punishing them.
